Tough

Its tougher than I anticipated. Extreme heat (and humidity), the pain in my jaw, and jet lag have really been difficult to overcome. Add to that flaky internet that means Paul can’t get work done, kids not feeling well (either from jet lag or change in diet) and a few other complications and it’s just not going well.
I have no regrets about coming here to the Philippines though. We are learning and adventuring. It’s just that most days of this adventure will be less than exciting. They will be normal ‘doing school' and 'living life’ kind of days.
However, the words of a wise and well-traveled friend of mine ring constantly in my ears...”it could always be worse” and "if you’re going to laugh about it later then laugh about it now". I am trying to stay positive. I desire things to move more quickly and for a baby sitter to watch the kids while I help Paul get things accomplished.
We will make decisions on the duration of our time here today or tomorrow and possibly change our location as we are discovering that we aren’t meeting enough of our goals to remain here. Mainly, we need stable internet (Paul has had to cancel or has tried but missed 6 business calls in the last 3 days) and we need a better housing situation. Prayers over these 2 things would be greatly appreciated!

Also, I am finding I spend a lot of time with the kids, entertaining, comforting, helping, snuggling, disciplining than is usual and I simply don’t have time to write on our blog.....BOOOO!
So, we are hoping that figuring out our two issues will allow me more time to write as well. There is SO much to tell that we just haven’t had time for as of yet! But, we’ll get there!

Your little courtyard is very nice. Most accommodations don’t have that much. If it helps any, we were blessed with about three more inches of snow last night. At this rate, we will still have snow on the ground in May.

Will keep housing and internet connection in my prayers for you. And healing for that tooth hole. I hope you are rinsing with salt water.
    All our love, Terese
