Elevation Pros and Cons 9,000 Feet in the Air

While in Colorado we stopped to visit friends of ours from Alabama. Ha! They're students at a seminary in the mountains. We had an awesome time and were really blessed by them and the whole seminary. Here's our list of the effects of Elevation:

The Pro's and Con's of living at high elevation.

Pro: Crystal clear air.

Con: Ice cream explodes out of its containers!

Pro: Gorgeous views!

We discovered later it was a clogged fuel filter that was causing the problem.

Got to hang your sunglasses somewhere while you are poking around in the engine!

Con: You become short of breath easily. Alia even got a touch of altitude sickness.

Wednesday evening potluck is a highly anticipated weekly event. Every week has a host and a theme. This week's theme was Zambian food. The seminary student from Zambia was the host for the evening. It was fun to look up recipes and not only make something new but also try other new dishes!

Pro: Wednesday night potluck!!!

Con: Grocery run = monthly trip to Colorado Springs

See....I told you it was awesome!!!!

All told it's pretty awesome up there and we were blessed to visit. While we were always out of breath we had a really good time there. Thanks for hosting us Parmers and the Sangre De Cristo Seminary!
