Kruger National Park Safari in the Dry Season

So, since we have blizzard conditions here today, I thought a reminder post about a safari in Africa would be a welcome reprieve for those of us in this part of the world at least!  I will comment on a few, but mostly just let you see the highlights of our time in Kruger National Park in South Africa.  It was the kids first visit to Kruger and a 2nd trip for Paul and myself.  As second-timers we  were hoping to see a few animals for which sightings are more rare....ones we didn't get to see on our last safari.  We weren't disappointed!

This is a highlight video that you might enjoy!  The background music is from a CD made by a group of students from the townships that have sacrificed in order to be able to rent their instruments and learn to play.  They are very good!  A friend of ours is the bookkeeper for the group.   When we were in Bloemfontein, we had the priviledge to meet some of these student musicians and their teachers.  Inspirational to say the least!

If the video won't show up you can also see the video here.

Happy Weekend, Everyone!
