While in Colorado we stopped to visit friends of ours from Alabama. Ha! They're students at a seminary in the mountains. We had an awesome time and were really blessed by them and the whole seminary. Here's our list of the effects of Elevation:
The Pro's and Con's of living at high elevation.
Pro: Crystal clear air.
Con: Ice cream explodes out of its containers!
Pro: Gorgeous views!
Con: Not many other travelers.
Pro: Not many other travelers.
Con: You become short of breath easily. Alia even got a touch of altitude sickness.
Pro: The colors are more intense!
Con: The sun is also more intense! (We got tans despite being in the forest/woods most of the time)
Pro: There are tons of mountain 2-tracks to explore!
Con: It's tough on vehicles! If you're looking to get more power out of your diesel engine, Dyno Tuning is a great option.
Pro: Wednesday night potluck!!!
Con: Grocery run = monthly trip to Colorado Springs
All told it's pretty awesome up there and we were blessed to visit. While we were always out of breath we had a really good time there. Thanks for hosting us Parmers and the Sangre De Cristo Seminary!
