For our faithful followers you may have been wondering what happened to the Kortmans? We've only posted one blog post in the last three months. And that post was even more than 5 weeks ago!
Long story short, it was about lack of time.
Time, Money, and Family life. You get to choose two :)
Or at least that's what happened with us. We're still trying to build up Connex but at the same time some projects finished and some clients ran out of budget. This all happened in March and so in April I had to let go of some staff and we had to spend a lot less money. I still have clients and I needed to increase the number of clients so suddenly my freetime disappeared. I found myself working 50 hour weeks, combined with travel planning and preparation I didn't have the time to help Becky with household stuff and so she didn't have the time to post content on the blog.
If this ever happens again and you're wondering if we're alive, there are multiple places where we post updates, if we're quiet on all of these for longer than 7 days then something bad truly did happen.

The NomadTogether Podcast - yes through all this quietness we keep publishing a weekly podcast! and while the podcast is more for folks wanting to life a location independent lifestyle we do a 1-2 minute segment of where we're at that week.
While I haven't yet been able to hire someone and we haven't signed on any new clients we have gotten through the storm and are hoping to be more consistent with posting here. We have a couple that fell through the cracks and will be posted over the next 5 days, two of these are based in the US (Texas and California) but the others are up to date. So we're going to go from not publishing for three months to publishing every day for a bit here.
We did update our itinerary page to give you a glimpse of where we've been. I'm currently writing this from the mountain city of Oaxaca Mexico. And believe it or not from an airbnb house, we're on a small vacation from Gracie. More on that later. Just know that we're good, healthy, and still in love with Mexico.
