Home Along The Way

Up To the Minute

We're working on a few other posts for where we've been and what we have already done (in the past), but today I wanted to shoot out a few shots of what's going on with us right now...today.

Grand Teton National Park...that's what we are doing.  Soaking. it. up.

We traveled north through about a quarter of the park loop today to our new campsite.

Saw a herd of bison and 4 deer.  We were only driving and looking for about 1 hour.

More snow on the mountains when we woke up!

Paul and Kody during our morning walk.

The ski runs that were bare yesterday, were snowy half way down today.

What do you think...campsite look ok????

Amazing campsite views...and its FREE!!!

The dogs loved being free to run! So did the kids! We have the whole campground to ourselves!

Seriously, it doesn't even look real, does it?!?!

Spectacular spot!

Waiting for the wind to die down so we can have a campfire!

Well, once snow starts to fall in earnest we would probably want to move on but the mountain vistas are unbelievable!

Got to our new camp site about 11:30 and plan to chill here until approx 3pm tomorrow when we hope to spend the evening driving the rest of the park loop.

Kids are out exploring the nearby woods each with a bear whistle around their necks....and loving every moment of the adventure.  After I gave them bear safety instructions, Si says, "Mom, if I see a elk, can I shoot it with my sling shot?"

Sure, buddy, knock yourself out!

Crazy kid!

Ever been to Grand Teton National Park?  What is a 'must-see' for us?
