About the Kortmans
Here's our crew and how they contribute to the team
We’re a family of 6 who have chosen a life of location independence. In early 2014, we sold our house and most of our possessions. We’re making home as we go but also looking for home. Will we settle somewhere or will we do travel as a lifestyle? We’re not sure, but what we know is we’re location independent and enjoying it.
We homeschool and Paul’s business is all virtual/digital so as long as he has an internet connection we can continue to make the same income we made while owning a house. We’re choosing to improve our quality of life through travel and opening our kids’ eyes to a broader worldview. You can read more of the back story behind our trip.
We are followers of Jesus but we’re not “missionaries” by the common usage of the term, instead we are digital tent makers, living and working, showing love to God’s people wherever God places us.
We’re currently in Mexico heading south after spending 2014 and 2015 in Davao, Philippines; Chiang Mai, Thailand; Cape Town, South Africa; Sofia, Bulgaria; Lisbon, Portugal and a few other locations. Check out our itinerary to see where we’re going and where we’ve been.
